The Centre Culturel Suisse Paris

A lively location on the cultural map of Paris, where dialogue between artists from France and Switzerland takes place day after day.

Exhibitions, performances, films, concerts.

Pro Helvetia, the Arts Council of Switzerland, established the Centre Culturel Suisse at 32 and 38 Rue des Francs-Bourgeois in 1985.

Its function is to acquaint the French public with the diverse forms of artistic creativity found in Switzerland, to promote the local integration of Swiss artists and cultural circles, and to forge links between multilingual Switzerland and the various cultures of Paris.

The premises of the C.C.S.P include a theatre seating approximately 100, two exhibition rooms (entrance at Rue des Francs-Bourgeois 38) and a library, which also serves as an information centre for visitors (at Rue des Francs-Bourgeois 32). A jukebox with 360 CDs offers a comprehensive survey of Switzerland's music scene. Film professionals can consult the catalogue in our videothäque.

The theatre is used for small-scale theatrical and dance performances, concerts (classical, contemporary and jazz), films and personal encounters.

When it comes to exhibitions, the accent is on contemporary art, while thematic and documentary exhibitions convey a sense of Swiss cultural history.
