Pro Helvetia Kiev
Pro Helvetia Kiev is a local office of the Swiss Cultural Programme South-East Europe and Ukraine (SCP). The SCP is a mandate tasked to Pro Helvetia by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The SCP pursues two lines of action: «small actions» and «cooperation projects».
Small actions provide for project-specific grants to projects undertaken by local partner organisations and cultural practitioners. Applications are evaluated by a local advisory board consisting of four representatives of the national cultural scene plus a delegate of the SDC coordination office. The programme works on the basis of the Ukraine country concept, which was developed in collaboration with the local advisory board and a wider circle of cultural experts.
The SCP also carries out several-year cooperation projects in association with local partner organisations and in collaboration with local, Swiss and international experts and institutions. Cooperation projects focus on the organisational development of partner organisations and the strengthening of their capacities. These projects are identified and overseen by the local office of the SCP in collaboration with the programme management.
